5 Days Kilimanjaro Marangu Route Trek

5 Days Kilimanjaro Marangu Route Trek. Known worldwide as the historic “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu is Mount Kilimanjaro’s most iconic trail. It is the only route on the mountain that offers cozy A-frame wooden sleeping huts with mattresses, solar lighting, and indoor dining halls—allowing you to avoid cold nights spent in ground tents.

Starting at Marangu Gate, this express trek takes you through four distinct climate zones: tropical rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit cap. Led by expert mountain guides, you will climb past landmarks like Maundi Crater and Zebra Rocks to reach Uhuru Peak.

By completing the climb in 5 days, you save significantly on national park conservation fees, hut permits, and crew daily rates—making this the most cost-effective way to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro.

You’ll meet  our ground handling team at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to the delightful Accommodation in Arusha. We depart Arusha for Marangu Gate for the necessary formalities before beginning our trek. The hiking trail begins by ascending a beautiful, tropical rain forest. At the upper edge of the forest line, we have the opportunity to see blue monkeys. The trail then widens to expose beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara Hut.

At Gilman’s point (18,600 ft), you will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see coming over Mawenzi Peak.
